The Image Optimizer Addon aims to speed up the process of managing images in the CS-Cart application by reducing their file size without losing on quality. Being rich in images, most of which eCommerce sites have to put, this module would speed up page load time, cut down server loads, and make shopping better for the customers. This can work as an independent module of CS-Cart perfectly so that all types of images (product images, banners, thumbnails, etc.) would get optimised.
Key Features
- Automatic Image Compression:
- The module automatically compresses images on upload with the help of advanced algorithms. It does both lossless and lossy compression techniques, and also store admins can choose in accordance with their needs one of the best quality-to-size ratios.
- Resize and Scale:
- Images are automatically resized to a variety of pre-defined dimensions for different screen sizes, such as desktop, tablet, and mobile. It is assured that the correct size resolution image will be given while catering to the device to render, thereby not consuming useless data.
- Format Conversion:
- It changes the next-gen format, like from WEBP, which is designed specifically so that it will be rapidly loaded on new browsers and, along with that, provides a fallback in case older browsers are installed, ensuring seamless viewing regardless of hardware.
- Bulk Optimisation:
- Bulk optimisation can be applied to images already in the CS-Cart database. This is useful in large catalogues in stores since they can optimise all images with a single click.
- Lazy Loading:
- Supports lazy loading to ensure images are loaded only when entering the viewport. That limits initial load time and saves bandwidth, especially for resource-intensive pages comprising many images.
- Customisable Quality Levels:
- Admins can configure the level of quality of the images to optimise, which they can balance between quality and performance as per their preference.
- CDN Integration:
- This allows integrating Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) to serve images faster because they are loaded from servers close to the user's location. This accelerates the time taken to load images and reduces server load.
- Scheduled Optimisation:
- Set up scheduled optimisation routines to automatically compress and optimise images at regular intervals with minimal human intervention.
- Backup and Restore:
- Provides a backup for the images, so merchants can recover to the image size if desired.
